Woolmark – The world's most recognized textile fiber brand
The Woolmark logo is one of the most recognized and respected textile brands in the world. Since its creation in 1964, the Woolmark logo has stood for a quality promise that assures consumers worldwide they are receiving a high-quality product that will provide lasting enjoyment.
The Woolmark Company is the global authority on wool, a not-for-profit organization that conducts research, development, and marketing along the worldwide production chain of Australian wool.
To receive Woolmark certification, products must be made from 100% pure new wool – exclusively wool shorn for the first time from living sheep. Recycled wool or deadstock wool is not permitted. The wool fibers must not have undergone any fiber-damaging processes or treatments and therefore show no fiber damage.
The Woolmark Company continuously inspects the final products in production facilities and through test purchases in retail. This includes checking material composition, wearing properties, colorfastness, and size retention after washing.
