The Requirements: 100% Pure New Wool
To be Woolmark certified, products must be made from 100% pure new wool – exclusively wool shorn for the first time from living sheep. Recycled wool or deadstock wool is not permitted. The wool fibers must not have undergone any fiber-damaging processes or treatments and therefore show no fiber damage.
Strict Quality Control at All Levels
End products are continuously checked in production facilities and through test purchases in retail – for material composition, wearing properties, colorfastness, and size retention after washing.
